Great idea and nice work so far!
I also heard some time ago from this "rescued tank", but saw no photos.
Thanks for sharing your work!

Good progress so far Petros.
A friend of mines has also built something similar using the same inspiration source.

Hey Petran,
Very nice job so far! As for this picture I would recommend some bird sand to achieve the result of it.
If you thin it well and add within multiple layers, it should be come out very realistic in my opinion. But If you have already a solution to achieve the result then maybe you can use it next time?

Well, I don't know exactly the specific name for it in English but you can find it in a animal store. It is very fine sand and it is for birds in there cages.
Maybe someone else could explain what I mean?

Howdy
Petran,
Aside from the initial impact of those wonderful photos at the beginning of your post showing the retrieval of the KV-1, I am compelled to say how wonderful a job you are doing on your project....seriously!
Great work pard'
Now, a query. At the beginning of your project you said "
...first I paint it with hull red and add differnet colors of rust..." Could you please expand on the "add different colors of rust" part? Because I'm sure most here {including me} would be most grateful to hear how you accomplished such a natural blending of 'rust' colours on your primary hull before you jumped to the hairspray stage of your efforts........
Thank you.

Very nice work so far. The rust and chipping is great and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest. I had started a similar project with a Jagdpanther, but it has been put on hold in order to catch up on other projects.
i'll be following this build closely and maybe pick up on a few things along the way.
Cheers
Rob

the colors that I use for the rust is from LIFECOLOR
-rust base color
-rust dark shadow
-rust light shadow 1
-rust light shadow 2
And with a small piece of sponge (I use sponge from the box of Andrea miniatures, they have a sponge inside for protection) start to paint the tank as you see in the photo.

Hello petros.
I remember this tank from when i searched the net for salvaged tanks that has been restored. If done right this could be a really good dio. But seeing your work to this stage, i have no doubt that it will be good. Keep it up. Really excited to see the progress on this one.

A small progress with the ground.
I use plaster with pigments acrilic colors to paint it and a gloss varnish for the fresh mud effect
