Been working on a Panther II tonight. Built one years ago before the DML kit and a friend later mentioned that the Tiger II battle tracks could be used to replace the transport tracks on the DML kit. All that need to be done was remove every other tooth on the drive sprocket. I decided to paint the vehicle in red primer and panzer gray. I figured that a late war tank would use any available paint on hand. What I want to do is disguise the barrel like the Brits did with the firefly 17 pounder. I painted the end of the barrel panzer gray but I'm not really satisfied, any suggestions?
