I need a source for DDR Vopo Helmets, just the helmets, Iīve seen Alanger "DDR Infantry"reference in the web but I donīt know if the shape of the headgear is well represented, and thatīs quite important for my project.
Has someone seen "in the flesh" that reference? Alanger 35203 it is.Whatīs his opinion?
TIA

Sorry ,but Iīve only seen these helmets on heads by Hornet, which are probably the best 1/35 heads in the world. Iīm not sure but I think that they did a figure (Hornet & Wolf ) of an East German.

I have this set of figures (released by ICM initially and re-released by Alanger) looking at the helmets id say that overall the shape is ok, but to me the front peeked bit doesnt go back far enough. I think they could be used with a little bit of modification and sanding.
Based on my ICM set I would strongly recommend these figures though, they are an excellent representation of NVA troops. My experience with Alanger figures is they are total crap, so if you can id recommend getting the ICM release instead, unless of course they are completely identical, even still id be weary of Alangers molding quality.

Well If Alanger release is difficult for me to find, you can imagine the older ICM...Anyway I only need the helmets for a WH46 project, so if they are good, I wonīt mind the quality of the figures too much.
That means Both releases would be good for me if the helmets are OK, Iīll keep searching the web, the cheaper wins.
Maybe Iīll have to consider Hornet heads too...
Thanks to both of you, youīve been really helpful.
