One for a client and one for my own review build. Milo has been kind enough to send me his RV conversion along with his new DEK and TFSS amongst other things...and I'll be going all out with these 2 Nastys-Prettys.

There's a ton of sets I'm using and I'll post pics as I go along. This blog is to get it all going.
For both builds I'll be using a variety of the usual and added photoetch and resin sets from Eduard, Griffon, Voyager, Pro Art, Blast-Models and of course RealModel. ..Covering all the standard Detailing sets, Additional Armor, Slat Armor, Blast-Panels. As well as stuff like the OIF Signage, Prints, Woven straps, M1127 Stowage belts, OVM fuel and water cans, Water Coolers, resin RWS, Rhino anti-IED device, resin Equipment for Stowage Baskets, and essentially the resin Tires from RealModel and Pro Art.
There's going to be quite some scratch building again for the front CIP and various equipment.
For the Interiors I'll be using both Dtoys and Blackdog's.
And I'll be installing that soon to be released resin Engine kit which Robert Skipper teased us about recently.

For the RealModel Conversion RM 35147
Milo recommends AFV Club's M1134 ATGM which has a cut-out roof. Unless I can remove the roof on the ICV...hmmm, then I can save my ATGM.
This one will also will use Milo's new Driver's Enhancement kit and Tire Fire Suppression System to build the latest version.
Eduard is still working on the Mine Protection Kit, so Milo will sent this later along with the Slat and other stuff.

As for my Client's kit, I'll be doing a partial scratch to make the RV version and will be an earlier version without the added new armor. Unless he changes his mind. I'll be using AFV CLub's ICV kit..and here's where I'll be tackling the roof problem again.

None the less.. Strykers with Slat Armor are intensive builds, and I just couldn' t resist but had to also add Every add-on and accessory I could find.. just so I can relive the excruciating pain of building something with hundreds and hundreds of parts.........Twice!
Just kidding guys.. It's not that bad.. I've learned quite a bit from my previous Stryker and know what to do and what not to this time! The sequence is essential!

Okay...
This pic shows a combination of sets from client's and Milo's...just for one Stryker. Informative photos as I go along...

And these are what came in the mail today... almost nothing better than receiving a box full of goodies!

Happy to update this post ..
as I said..RealModel's kit is sort of a Build Review..Milo was nice enough to send this latest version for me to work on here.
This isn't a hobby to me..not since it's for work....but like any job - it's a mix of Fun & Frustration none the less
..Masochist..? Hmmm I actually like those which come walking in with a pair of heels

A comparison of Trumpy, RealModel and my Scratch..
NO I can resist.. and will not be building the Trumpy RV as well, I'll just been putting on the photoetch upgrades, add armor and slat to see how it compares with the rest

REALMODEL

RM recommends using the M1134, cause the top is separate and you'll just have to drop the resin RV hull in place.. but I couldn't bear wasting the rest of the kit....cause that's for a nagging project with a SPARK mine roller.
So I cut up an ICV instead

SCRATCH
I can appreciate the amount of work and effort Milo and other garage kit fellows put into their conversions.. the hull and plates seems simple enough but when you start measuring and drawing.. they will bug you!

The circular disk was a Bit*h to make! But After a lot of sanding..I think I got it almost as perfect as I want it..I'll still need to line the inner circumference with very thin styrene sheet....I've been spending a load of time studying the Interior..and there's a lot of work to go in there. It's not just dropping in the Resin Interior kits..the Entire interior walls and ceiling need attention..
