exactly what the title said, what trees are in there in russia that i should be using in russia winter time? this is an early eastern front diorama (kursk, kahkov)
the tree needs to be strong enough to have a jeep crashed into it.
how should i go about making this tree or are there buyable options?
i know how to make the basic shape of the tree with wire but i don't kbow what to do after rthis stage?
cheers stan

Birch, spruce and pine are ubiquitous, as well as alder (grey and black, the last in wet sites). Various poplar trees are (were) popular along the roads, they are usually strong and large. Oak, lime and ash somewhat rarer, I suppose.

Hi Stan, I had made one of dead tree before and don't know that is the one you looking for or not. This tree is about 25cm. high and I think that you can build tree shape as your design and other step is add the tree branches to it. For tree branches I use some of the grass trunks glue together with the wire branches of the tree. I has post some sample how to make it on this topic and hope it a little helpful. Apologize about posting picture on your topic and my language if any mistake hope that you don't mind.
