Hello fellow modellers,
I recently saw a video of an injured soldier being evacuated after the convoy suffered an IED attack. His injuries were serious but not life threathening, he was evacuated using a Bradley.

I would like to make a diorama depicting this sadly common scene in Iraq. My question is, what kind of Medevac vehicles does the Army use. I would like to match it with a Tusk 2 Abrams and maybe a Stryker with slat.
Thank You for the answers,
Arpi

At least you could use a m113A3 :

or even a M577 with a new generator like the one fitted to the M1068

but I would say that on the battlefield, in an emergency situation, any available vehicle would do the job, whatever the type...

Thanks for the pictures, Frenchy. Excellent, as always. Do You happen to know what kind of helicopter does the army use for medical purposes?

Blackhawks (UH-60) are used for medievac.

HH-60 also fly dustoff, without the red cross.

Jeff, Geame, thanks for the answers. Does anybody know what is the exact designation of the Blackhawks they use for this purpose? Is the Academy G or L Blackhawk more correct for this purpose?

Academy's UH-60A/L kit is the correct one to convert into an Army MedEvac.

Here is a walkaround of one. The interior has to be modified with a litter stacker for the MedEvac version. Here is a great build to show what has to be done to make it into a MedEvac.

The MH-60G is a US Air Force Combat Search and Rescue helicopter, not a MedEvac helo.

You could use the MH-60G kit for an Afghan scenaro. Like Gino says, it is not a Medevac helicopter...but that did not stop them from flying medevac missions on a regular basis,

I took these pics at the NATO Role 3 Hospital c2008.

Graeme is correct, they can fly medevac, just like any helo can, they are not set up as a dedicated MedEvac helo like the Army MedEvac UH-60s are. The interior on the MH-60G would be as in the Academy kit (sort of, its missing a lot).

Here is my HH-60G build to see what should/could be added to the Academy kit.
