Completed the T-55AK conversion. I used the old Esci kit as the base and took all of the "AK" parts and PE fret from the Skif kit. The only other thing I added was an RB Models barrel amd wire for the small antenna and at the top of the 10 meter antenna. Sorry that I'm such a crappy photographer.

After priming woth Tamiya surfacer, I painted the kit with Tamyia acrylics, Windsor & Newton oils for the wash, and a coating of chalk pastels and Brigadoon pigments.

Nice job, Rob. It goes to show that you don't have to build a new expensive kit to create a nice model.
