Hi forum,
The next title from SAM publications with cover selected AFV's from ODS, this is the model I will be showcasing in the book. The soft cover book will feature the 60, an Abrams, and a M106 in the same format as the first book on OIF....... but we have kicked it up a notch with these new builds! Further info on the Armor Data series can be found here. https://armorama.kitmaker.net/news/6506
My co-author Andy Renshaws' work for the book, (the M1 Abrams) can be found here https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/160877#1350619 He also will be taking on the M106.
I always seem to volunteer for the hard build and here it is, a true Frankensteins' monster M60. The Tank will include parts from Academy, Esci, Verlinden, AFV Club, Royal Models, Eduard, and Legend. As needed, some of my own scratchbuilt bits will also end up in the finished product. Anyway on the the pics....
It's alive!!!!! (well almost)
Thanks for looking!

Very nice. I'm intrigued to see what you do with the M106(A2). I got out one year before ODS but my mortar platoon went with the rest of 2AD(FWD) attached to 1ID.

Any thoughts about modeling the universal joints, and the part they attach to on the final drive?

Yes, these are mising from the legends engine set...I have plans to address them as well as the vacant transmission mounts.
