Hi
As in the topic.
I building a model of M1A2 Abrams with the conversion TUSK II from Legend Productions.
Maybe some of you have in your collection photos of version TUSK II?
I searched in google but I found only a few.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I also didn't find really good photos on the web. So i bought the Tankograd book about the M1A1/A2 SEP TUSK. I recommend it! It's really woth the money.

Yes, I heard about this book, but for me it is too expensive and difficult to buy.
I just wanted to look at the pictures and look for inspiration.
If you have a book, can you tell me if there was a picture of Abrbams TUSK II with mine roller? I saw TUSK I with it, and I wonder if TUSK II could be in this configuration...

I haven't seen A2 (SEP) TUSK II fitted with a mine roller or plow so far. Asked for photos some months ago but nobody could show me some. One possible explanation is the usage of the M1 Panther II mine clearing vehicle. It has the great advantage that it can be remote controlled which minimizes the risk for crew members getting wounded or even killed.
Also some guys at 29 Palms told my father that they haven't seen or heard about a TUSK II fitted Abrams combined with mine clearing gear but that doesn't automaticly mean that it's not possible. Of course it should possible to mount the plow or the rollers (i prefer the plow 'cause it looks "better") to every vehicle. So this would answer your question about the possibility of fitting the SEP TUSK II with mine clearing rollers.
I was also planning to build an SEP Abrams with TUSK II and mine plow. It would probably be seen historically not correct but who cares? It would damn heavy, bad ass and great!

I have the tankograd book. IT doesn't have any Tusk 2 with mine plows or rollers, unfortunately. Great book, though

All M1A1/A2 with TUSK I or II can be equiped with mine plow or mine rollers. TUSK doesen't block attache points.
Yeah sure, but M1 Panther II never was fully fielded, program ended on at least one fully operational prototype. So they still use M60 Panther I.

Are you sure about that IIRC, at least 6 have been built and 4 of them have been deployed in Germany ,Iraq and Kosovo. Concord Assault #8 book has a 8-page article about them...

DUNNO, but not many of them, less than 10 is certain. IRCC there were some issue with that it wasn't liked by decisionmakers, I also don't like the idea to use a modern tank hull for such purpose, it is better to use older useless to any other combat role tank hull, and modern tank hulls use for specialized vehicles other than something that can be blow on mine...
