Does anyone make a replacement etched part for the reflectors that are found on US Soft Skin Vehicles ?

These reflectors are found on sides and rears of all un-armored vehicles, such as the Jeep, GMC 353, DUKW etc etc.

Tamiya's Jeep features a very good rendition of the Reflector , however they appear to be an overlooked detail on the kits

I am building a DUKW from the airfix / Italeri kit and would like to replace the reflectors on the side (these are in the wrong position) and add them to the rear (missed altogether).

The Eduard set for the DUKW has replacement tail lights but no reflectors, although there is a set of tiedown rings which are about the right size that I could use as a fall back.

Thanks

I wish someone made a decal for the red/yellow rear hi-vis panels seen on all current large US (and Canadian?) softskins - in 1/72 or 1/76 for me, but I've not noticed any in any other scale either.

I make my own out of punched .010 styrene. I then paint the inside first with flat black, then Alclad Brushed Aluminum and the a Clear Roed or Clear Orange for the finish

From what I can see, these reflectors are round with a lug on either side, so are a little bit more detailed than a plain disk, hence the search for a PE part, however if I cannot find a suitable PE part, I will do exactly as you say.

Thanks

No, Frenchy, I didn't. But air recognition panels I can cope with; it;s those pesky red-and-yellow ones on the back of modern vehicles that I would like to see.

But thanks all the same.
