Hi all,
I have been slowly trying to build up the AM stash for my eventual HobbyBoss M4 HST build, and I see that the only individual link tracks for the T-49 steel cleat tracks are the ones available from ModelKasten.
My question is, if there's anyone who has this, are there enough links in the ModelKasten set to use for the HobbyBoss kit?

T-49s are available from Panda, a hugely better alternative than Modelkasten. I avoid MK for Sherman tracks like the plague for their difficulty in assembly.

Ditto on the Panda tracks, and to answer the other question, an M4 High Speed Tractor is a lot smaller than an M4 tank, so any track set for a Sherman will have an ample number of track shoes for the HST.

You'll need about 66 per side, I think. I agree, the Pandas are a better alternative than MK, although I have the MKs myself for this kit.

Another vote for ABMK (anybody but Modelkasten),look, the detail is great, but there are just too many parts to Mk Sherman Track. Panda is great, but remember, you don't have to go with T-49 track, I have a photo of an M4HST from my Dad's Battalion with T-48 track. It is true, you need fewer links as well.

Actually, I can tolerate the work involved in producing the MK tracks, I've figured out the system and they aren't THAT hard but it'll probably be where I start the kit, that way I'll finish it. If T-48s are used, Panda or AFV Club I'd recommend, both are good.

Mk aren't hard, they are just really boring and slow to assemble. I've figured out my set, just decided that all the work wouldn't really look all that much better than DS, Panda, or AFV club.
