Over the weekend I got my hands on an Italeri M-47 Patton from an eBay auction; really looking forward to building this one again, as it was one of the first tank kits I built as kid when it first came out. That said, I know the real deal was an "interim" and had a short run with active duty US Army units; is there any information out there on any National Guard units that fielded them, and what bunper codes would be needed to portray one? Haven't had much luck with Google....

Chuck,
My company, Decalcomaniacs! makes a set for the M-47. I've included a set for the Wyoming National Guard, Power Play Exercise, Rhine River, October, 1953. Here's the url for the M-47 sheet.

Georg

Georg, that would work for me! Does the set come with a prototype photo, or could you direct me to an appropriate reference?

On an aside note, I can't get over how great this kit is for it's age...

Chuck,
The decals come with a set of instructions with crude line drawings to help you with placement. BTW, the sheet also includes marking for the NJ N.G., too. As to the exact reference (for Wyoming N.G. tank), I used a photo on page 47 of the Squadron/Signal book on the Pershing/Patton in action. HTH.
Regards,
Georg
