Hello Stanley,
as far as I know, there is no H&K 416/417 on the market. Perhaps I shall speak with my contacts at Trumpeter and give them my H&K 416/417 brochures:-)). Since the 416 bears a great resemblance with the M4 carabine, why not just take a M4 from AFV Club and "simply" add the Picatinny rails from scratch. Not sure what the weapon of the guy in the pics is, L85 A2???

The one soldier is carring a SA80 with Picatinny rail system
As far as the HK goes, you may want to check to see if trumpeter makes an M16 set that comes close to it. They have been release weapon sets of different M16 that may fit the bill with some slight modification. The closes I can think of that is aviable on the market.

Stanley, Trumpeter make a few different M16/M4/SR sets that I'm sure would lend themselves to making a HK 417/16.

Hi Stanley
The guys are using a L85A2 (SA80) with probably the Daniels Defence rail interface system which as been adopted by the British Army...in one picture fitted with the 'grip pod' forward handgrip.
The main way to ID the Daniels RIS 100% is the Union Jack etched on the sides which you can't see in these pics.
They're fitted with the std SUSAT sights which are also being replaced with ACOG sights which are lighter.
In service they're known as 'adaptor rail weapon mounted' and 'bipod rifle'
AA's new set didn't include this version...shame maybe next time

Competing against others there will always be better or worse. Competing against yourself you can only get better, but only, only! if you learn from your mistakes.
