I forgot the answer to this question but is it white glue or superglue that works best? ??
This is my top secret project (ha-ha) to use about 3 Russian tanks (su-85, T-34/85s - a JS-2 if Tamiya gets on it for 1/48) + 1 sunk in the blown portion. I will use the Tamiya lamp posts like in the photo with this Verlinden bridge.
It comes with a bag of brown resin pieces too, so how best to glue resin to the ceramic also??

You can use either white glue or two part epoxy.
Depending on how much strength is necessary you may need to go with two part epoxy.
With the bridge parts if all you need to do is keep the parts next to each other white glue could work

Oh ok I read the last part of your post... Resin glued to plaster .. You should use two part epoxy.

For fixing plaster to plaster the best thing i know of is .....
Plaster. I use standard household filler - same as you use for filling screw holes in walls, works a treat...
Agree with Scott re the resin to plaster thing.

Thanks Andy. I figure I'll use the Epoxy to join the parts and then the spackling to cover/fill any seams that show afterwards. Cheers

Apply a thin layer of white glue, let it set, apply superglue on top of that, press into place - good strong bond.

Hi Greg
In my humble opinion you can use super glue, epoxy or white glue, it doesn't matter; all of them will work well (maybe epoxy it's be the best choice considering its strength and its elasticity)
The most important thing you have to do (if you can) are some copper pins to joint the pieces.
I think that will need to reinforce the whole structure
I'm looking forward your interesting project finished
Cheers

It appears there's more than one way to skin this cat, so I'll be doing some experimenting with them all.

I've done literally hundreds of hydrocal builds for my two companies. I swear by 5 minute epoxy & here's why.
White (or yellow) glue will work, but you have to wait over night for it to dry, plus, if you use a lot of water when weathering it the glue can get soft & fail.
Super Glue will work but you'll need a lot of it, as the plaster just soaks it up as fast as you can squirt it on.
5 minute epoxy has huge strength, gives you a couple minutes to amke sure the parts are where you want them but then it;'ll set & you can go on to the next step of construction in ten minutes or so.
As some have suggested, pins are good for extra strength.
Cheers.

I've been using Elmers polyurethane glue (the brown stuff) It's pretty much Gorilla Glue, you should clamp the pieces together and I get a great bond that's strong!
