Hi guys,
I've been having a problem on the site. But it only happens on my home computer and not my work one so I figure it's my problem alone.
When I post a reply to a thread, it takes forever to type in the message. I watch the cursor crawl across the screen for 2 or 3 minutes after I finish typing a sentence.
I've taken to typing my response in Notepad and doing a cut/paste into the reply window. It hasn't always been this way so it must be something to do with my computer.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,

The end all - cure all around here is usually deleting the cookies in you temporary internet files folder. Try to remeber your passwords though, as they are stored in the cookies.

Craig,
You got me on that one. It does sound like a local PC issue though. Are other sites with forms causing the same slow down?

Jim,
I just posted to planetFigure and had no problems. It's just here.
Rob,
I usually do delete my cookies and it seems to make no difference. In fact, this problem just may have begun after I began deleting them on a regular basis (weekly).
I'm baffled but at least I have this workaround to help me out. Thanks for the info guys. If anything changes I'll let you know.

Hey guys,
I just manually deleted all the cookies I could find on my computer instead of using the Control Panel/Internet Options buttons. Unfortunately, it's still happening as I type this.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Hae you installed any major programs around the time it started? And did you install any updates to Explorer near that time. You might try to the change/remove option for explorer which removes the last update and repairs the last version installed.

Which version of Windoz are you using? Is another program running in the background? Sounds like you have one or more programs running in the background causing a problem. You will have to identify what it is and remove/fix it. It could be a system program problem caused by corrupted files or "Spyware" or "AD-ware" programs. You could start with running Ad-Aware v.6
Also, are you using anything like Zone Alarm? Do you have dial-up or DSL or different?
