From what I've heard it is a Re-Boxing of the Italeri kit (with additional Tamiya Jerry Can set) for the Japanese home market.

Yeah, that looks like the old Italeri kit. One that I had started and never finished...
But, it was when I was pretty new to modeling, so maybe that's where part of the frustration was. But, if I remember the detail was at a pretty low level.

Rebox of Italeri for Japanese home market. I think they did the RSO too..
Not even a new tooling of the jerry cans either..
I fell for the 1/72 Tamiya Super Hornet... Italeri garbage...DOH!
But not the Flankers..or Puma.

It is the older Italeri kit. Works up into a decent looking model though. Some of the details arent' that great,,,can be helped with some different jerry cans and some added straps/latches.
