I'm an aircraft modeller but I also like the tanks and figures. If you visit the site of the GAMS Udine group you can see my models.
best regards

Hello all this is what came up when I googled: [GAMS Udine group].
Modelingtime

This link has more photos: AMS VR Photo link
This link also has a lot of photos: gmtmodellismo photo link

Now I don't know on wich site we can see his work. I have yet to fully study these sites to find the names: "Luca Monego" or "moneghez" but I'll keep looking. Now if he plans on bracking out with and IDF project of this Merkava Heavy crane. Then he would have my "Attention". So we will see if he starts it here.
As I plan on building one to go with my smaller ARV/ called the GP by Legend.

Wouldn't that be an interesting variant for Hobbyboss to make.. since they already made the basic Merkava IV chassis and body?

Yes that would be nice but dont get your hopes up. I would love to see some one scratch build it. You do know that it's built off an early to mid Mk III chassis?

Shalom, Caveman

There is no mid or late or early in Mk. III chassis.
The Mk. III hull, is the Mk. III hull, with no sub versions.

As to the GP for ARV , it is the name used by the IDF as GP is General Purpose...

Frenchy thanks for the links, the aircraft look awesome!
Hay Hisham, glock17c's right about the chassis make up to a point. The Mk III chassis used to day has some different parts and attachments., but the basic lay out of the lower hull is much the same. Any way all of that in fo is realy irrelevant.
When you start your build of the Heavy ARV or GPV, you going to start with an Academy Merkava Mk III lower chassis and suspension parts. I think your going to need a set of legend steel wheel to get the right look. I suggest you use Friulmodel FRIATL49 Merkava Mk.3 Tracks.
Now the Mk 1/2 tracks could be used but you would have to put a load of mud to hide that facked that there Mk 2 tracks. (FRIATL63 Merkava Mk.1/2 Track) GreatModels track set

Oh one more thing I'm still trying to get photos of an over view. If I get any thing I'll let you know M8.

Now get to work
