I'm building at the moment the Tamiya M1A1 with mine plow and would like to know, if someone have some close photos of the electrical cable, which goes trough the drivers hatch. I think, there is like an adapter installed inside the periscope?
I need to scratchbuild this "adapter"
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Marcel

Here is a pic of it installed. It isn't the best pic, but should give you an idea. It is in the far right periscope.

And a couple more I found on the web (under Andy's Picasa Web Album):

Howdy Marcel, here is a shot of the TWMP(Track Width Mine Plow) power/control cable connection that I know to have been in service since 2001
This vision block replaces the Drivers right side vision block:
The previous style power/control cable connection was a solid plate with the connector in the center. The driver had no vision to his right so the new type partially remedied the problem. Frenchy you now have a better picture for your collection. Outta here, Mike sends . . .

Mike,
Have you seen any of your AIM'ed Hawgs sporting the M1A2 style power recepticle that is mounted near the L/S fuel cap???
I want to think that the external recepticle was part of the later AIM mods but I have not seen anything in my photo collection that confirms the mod on a M1A1...

Howdy John, as of September I was informed that none of the Jarhead tanks have the A2 TWMP connector. However there are plans to install it in the near future. I will check my FSR to see what the latest news is. Man I gotta get me a Federal job so I can surf at work again! I know, Iknow, it is all' work related. Outta here, Mike sends . . .

Marcel- I just did a quick look up and found a picture of a M1A1 AIM Abrams with TUSK mods. It was shot around 2008 in Iraq. The Abrams belonged to the 1-35 AR. The picture is in the Tankograd book on the M1A1/A2 Abrams with TUSK. Also try looking on Prime Portal.
Good luck
