Maquette kits are reasonable. The plastic is fairly soft, and can be worked well. The details are sometimes rather heavy, and there's often a bit of 'spider creep' flash that need to be cleaned up.
On the plus side there are usually individual link tracks, and seperate deck panels. As far as the T-34 kits are concerned there's mesh for the engine deck, and nylon string for the tow cable - besides the T-34s were always heavy and lumpy so the Dragon looks unreal when finished. The Valentine isn't my speciality so I'm not too sure which to recommend.
In general Maquette kits are not really up to Dragon standards but the price is often half the Dragon equivalent. I have built a few and they are hard work. I'm always happy to finish one
Having said that I'd weight it up at the store or the model show - after replacing the Dragon tracks and gun barrel you are looking at £50 plus, you'd get two Maquette kits for that but spend longer filing and trimming to fit.

Their Valentine Kits are pretty good with some work and Accurate Armor even makes a 3 Man turret for the early one! The late one need some rivit detail removed but make up into a nice kit! I have done both and enjoyed the buillds
