hello everybody,

I haven't got much info, except the internet, about the 2S3 Akatsiya
, there must be some die hard addept here that can help me out here, I was wondering if I could use the Trumpeter 1:35 Chinese Type 83 152 mm Self Propelled Gun kit to build a Soviet version?

and is there info around, or builds of these vehicles?

thanks all

The Acacia 2S3 152mm self-propelled gun (and the Sa-4 Krug / Ganef 2P24 rocket launcher, and missile tracking 1S32 Pat Hand), a common basis for both the Su-100P is based on a vehicle.
The following proposition: either you build one yourself, or buy a Rocket Launcher Tank-Mania 2P24, and rebuilding it (the same chassis, the running wheels, tracks, only the upper armor is different).
Regards, Gábor.

Theres nothing similiar about the 2. About the only thing in common is the gun. Different hulls, turret, driveline etc... It would be nice to have a 2s3 though......

Was the Su100P also used for the 2S4 Tuylpan and 2S5 Giagsint? I have also seen it as a chassis for an artillery named Su100P and as the chassis for the prototype ZSU-37-2...any info would be welcomed!

Cheers,
Rich

SU-100SP is the anti-tank gun. Su-100P is a artillery piece (just to make things clear). Both were one-off designs that shared the same general lineage as the GM-123 chassis development (What the SA-4, 2S3 and 2S5 are built on), but they are not direct parents.

I am trying to find information on the chassis of the Su-100P in order to create a document that shows the actual link between the different system. This will be used hopefully by model makers in order to create a Su-100P artillery, and if linked, use the chassis to easily create or make conversions of the 2S3 Akasiya kit by Balaton models to make a SA-4 Ganef, 2S4 Tulypan and 2S5 Giaysint, and maybe even the ZSU-37-2. Getting information on the one chassis would create 5 kits or more for a modeller who would want to sell them. Any information is much appreciated, especially the name of the actual chassis as its often listed as Su-100P(like the artillery piece at Kubinka) or Object 123
