Hi Guys,
First post here. I'm working on my first AFV the 1/35th Tamiya Sd. Kfz. 222, I want to model it as a late 1944 vehicle attached to the 11th panzer Div (Not SS) and I haven't been able to get a good reference on which uniforms the crew would have likely been wearing, black, field grey, or camo. Any info, ideas or advice would be VERY appreciated. Thanks
Kevin

Kevin,
The Reed Green Denim working Panzer uniform was very popular with Wehrmacht A/C crews. It looks just like the black clothing in 1/35th, but has large patch pockets on left chest and thigh. It also wouldn't show up so much when out of the vehicle, as recce crews could quite often be. Dragon "Achtung Jabo" set contains figures wearing it. However if you choose to go with the Black Panzer clothing, which was still being worn by Heer crews at this time, remember the Waffen farbe would be yellow rather than pink. There was no Heer issued camo clothing specifically for Panzer crews, unlike the SS, although some 21PD & Panzer Lehr crews in Normandy appear to have had custom suits made up from Zeltbahn material.
