Dragon Models have just announced a New, 1/35th scale figure set which steps away from the more ''current'' releases and genuinely promises something new and innovative.

I was expecting four figures that weren't really related to each other. This set looks quite appealing. The action is very good. It should sell well.

Apples and Oranges i'm afraid.

The Zvezda set ISN'T that brilliant and the other is a late-war set. You really want to go down the road of comparing Zvezda figures to those of DML?

Yes, I do consider it innovative - for the following reasons:

1) Too often DML bring out sets with 4 figures which are completely unrelated to each other. MiniArt & Masterbox have established this trend and DML is obviously learning from them...

2) How many sets of Mountain troop engineers are on the market? Thought not...

3) Animation. For DML, this is a positive step with much more animated figures than usual

4) Yes, they're Germans - still the Nš 1 sellers though.

5) Not a single pointing figure...

Jim, for me, number five is just one great reason to buy this set... my spare box has plenty of them
Anyway, I like the kit, and will probable buy it.

Cheers.

I would like to see slightly larger and less grainy pics, but I do like this set and see quite a bit of potential in it. I also applaude Dragon for coming up with a unique subject that is A) German WWII (not my thing, but it is a sales issue here), B) an elite unit that isn't SS, and C) it's vgnette in a box.
