Trumpeter 1/35 Grille II 17cm Cannon, item nr 00378
Hi there,
I haven't started building this kit yet but I had a look-see in the instructions.
The gun can be mounted outside the vehicle, resting on a "turntable" in front
more or less below the trunnions and a support plate at the rear end of the carriage.
When the gun is loaded onto the vehicle the support plate is folded upwards by some sort of link arm contraption but where does the turntable go?
Is it still under the gun/carriage/cradle? Was it supposed to be stored on
the vehicle somewhere? It could be possible that the gun could be lifted/slid
into the vehicle without leaving the turntable behind but it might as well be that the turntable was used as some sort of leverage point to be able to lift the gun high enough to get it onboard. Was the turntable supposed to be carried by some other vehicle?
/ Robin
