hi there,
just wanted to post some pics of that sub(REVELL Kitnr.05093 VIIC-Submarine 1:350Scale) that I finaly finished this week,,,hope you´ll enjoy that...
This is U-552 on its last journey between 16.Feb.1944 - 28.April.1944 from St.Nazaire to Danzig. Kapitänleutnant: Klaus Popp.
The sign of the sub = "two dancing devils" - one is carrying the torch of live the other the torch of destruction...

Nice, this is different. I'd love to know how you got the cavitation.

Very interesting display. If this is the kit I think it is, two of my clubmates are working(ed) on this same one and I was surprised at both the size and detail on a kit this scale.

Very cool. I like the weathering on the sub a lot, but please go into more details on what you used for the water!

thanks 4 your answers
the cavitation is made from a piece of cling film/wrap thats been twisted and fixed with rapid glue. then I filled the mold with 2K clear epoxy in two steps. first layer up to the level of cavitation and second up to periscope hight. the waves are made of acrylic sealant clear&white...

Indeed, it's a ship in a brick!!
I was backtracking quite a bit when I found this and I'm glad I did. I was really wondering how this would work out, and I have to say I quite like it. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent work!
The water has a great effect on the boat!
I also had the idea, to make a dived thing... a sea-mine.
But I have no experience in this technique.
greetings and thanks...
