I want to do a 1/35 diorama kit for the Vietnam modelers. I'd love to do a storefront perhaps next to an apartment/house. I'd like to get a store front w/a sign in the dio as it helps set the era & location.
I need a reference photo or two showing a 1960's Vietnam street/shop scene. I have the book on Hue City but it really doesn[t have much in it.
The guy who can find me a photo that I end up basing the kit on will get a free kit when I release it. Can anyone out there help me? Thanks.

Simplest solution would be run a google images search mate.
Type in Hue city, Saigon, Vung Tau, any number of search words would turn up with results.
Another good search term is "Vietnam Architecture", as the style has barely changed since the war, and in most cases, the buildings standing are still the same ones from the war, what was destroyed was rebuilt to look exactly the same, so you will find alot of these apartment style buildings, and also alot of buildings with french influence in the design, popping up through all the major cities.
A few to get you started, some of which you may have seen before..

Randy,
Don't think I can beat Frenchy, but I have found one other photo for you. I am really looking forward to seeing this progress and will get it when available.
Thanks for thinking of us Nam modelers
Regards
David
