Hi guys,

I haven't been on this forum in a long while, but I got back into armour models after a break of six or seven years when my girlfriend bought an airbrush and asked me to show her how to use it.

I thought I'd get back into the swing of things with a decent kit and chose the 1/35 Tamiya Cromwell since I've heard nothing but good things from everyone who's picked it up.

I've ordered the Accurate Armour Cupola/Armour Upgrade and plan to modify the engine deck to show a 'D' Hull Cromwell in 7th Armoured markings - in or around Caen for Operation Goodwood.

So my question is that I'm looking at some photo etch for this kit. I've seen there are sets by both Aber and Eduard, but I can only find a diagram of what's included for the Aber kit.

Has anyone used the Eduard stuff for this kit? I ask because it's half the price of the one offered by Aber. If the price is proportionate to quality, forgive my ignorance since I've been out of the game for far too long.

So to cut to the chase, which is the better kit, Aber or Eduard? How similar are they? If anyone can help I'll appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

The Eduard website typically has both pictures of the frets, as well as online PDF's of the installation instructions.

Y'know, until you mentioned it I didn't even notice the link to the instructions.

I saw them on the Aber site but somehow completely missed them on the Eduard site. Idiot...

Anyway, that's sorted that issue out, so thanks!
