Hello,
Thanks to the thread about the type96 B, I built the Trumpeter kit (looks nice by the way) and replaced the cupola with the one from the Type 82 NBC (a former kit from trumpeter) with some detailing. As the cupola seems to be the most evident difference between type A and B I guess I would place this model in Irak.
I also add the gun shields, according to the poor defintion pictures I get on the web about Irak deployed type 96B.... This part is note definitely set in place because I wish I can find more pictures about it.
I still look for information about the exact position of the wire cutter.

Looks good Emilien !
Tee Type 82 finally did the trick for the cupola.
How did tackle the mounting of the numerous chains on the hatches ? This step looks a bit odd to me when I look at the instructions. We are supposed to cut the necessary length of chain and insert it into the tiny rings at both ends, I guess this is not a piece of cake !

Thanks Olivier,
The step you are referring to is a bit long. After having insert the both ends of the chain inside the ring, you must carefully close the ring with a drop of cyano by pressing it with a tweezer (gently ...otherwise the plastic ring goes broken !)
Cheers
Emilien

Looking good....a very unique vehicle.
Have you searched Getty Images for photos? Do a search on Getty Images for "Japan Iraq".......there are plenty of half decent images there of the Type 96B. Check the images from 2004.
