Hmmm.. I must have been having a very long senior's moment because I was sure there was a 'finish it off' campaign running until the end of the year, but alas I cannot find it anywhere..

Anyway, here are four models that I finished today for the campaign.

This is Italeri's 1/35 Marder III from about 30 years ago. It has languished, unfinished for about 12 years. It was built long ago, and painted at least 6 years ago... All I did was give it a clean, guess where the decals went (Italeri's instructions from then are very cryptic) and dirty it up with MIG Pigments.

Next up is a kit that I built about 10 years ago but only finished off today, Tamiya's 1/35 Churchill Crocodile. It has been sitting Futured for about 3 uears so it should be dry.. Again, I put on the decals and then dirtied her up a bit.

This one is Tamiya's 1/35 Sevomente SPG which I built last year sometime but finally got around to decalling (all two of them) and dirtying up a bit.. but I missed the spare tracks! Bugger...

And last, but by no means least is Italeri's 1/35 M13/40 Italian tank but wearing Australian markings after it was captured in North Africa. I built this at the same time as the Semovente and it got shuffled to the back of the cure for some reason.. Oh that's right, I bought the kit over 20 years ago and a few parts got lost over the years from the horrid end-opening box. I figured the parts brobably could have fallen off in the desert anyway if recent Italian Car reliability is anything to go by..

If the Campaign turns up I will post it there as well..

There was a "Get the Job Done..Again" campaign but that finished 12/31/2009. Sadly, I once more did NOT get the job done (Tamiya 1/35 M5A1) but the campaign did get me to move the project a little farther.

Oh well... Then I will put the Tamiya T-70 on the back-burner again...

I like how our model projects aren't measured in minutes or hours, but in years. I realized that this week when I made a spreadsheet to list all the projects I have going or plan soon. I'm only 42, and I have projects that have been in planning for probably 30 years. I could easily see confusing a deadline by 11 months.
Anyway, Warren, great work. I haven't used powders yet, but I like the effects you've done, so maybe not this current build, but soon. I like the idea of that captured Australian/Italian tank-- need those kangaroo ID marks BIG so no allies take you out!

Hi guys and thanks.

We may just need another 'Clear the bench' campaign, but I haven't got too many left to clear now!

The MIG powders are great Sean and very easy to use either dry or as a wash.

I am waiting for Killer KVs to start up at the end of the month and I am not sure how i would go running two campaigns. Any ideas?

Regards
Warren

These sorts of campaigns are popular as just about everyone has something that has been half-started somewhere. Currently Aeroscale has their "Hangar Queen" and Model Shipwrights has their "Dry Docked" campaigns. Maybe call it "Get the Job Done: 2011"?

As for running more than one campaign, I don't think it's too tough. Poor sudzonic will be running 4 campaigns during the last half of 2011!

Gary what do you think about (2) campaigns during the year? Say Get the Job Done 2011 ( as you suggested) to be run for say (3) months and then another for the same amount of time to follow some time later in the year "GETTER DONE TWO".
