I'm new to the workable track thing and have a question or two. I've started building a set of tracks for my Tamiya M1A1 and I'm wondering about a) do the pin caps stay on somehow that I'm missing? and b) painting these things.

Putting them together is super easy but their no glue construction has me worried about losing the tiny connectors.

I'm planning on priming them and then probably brush painting the detail on.

Does anybody have any advice for this?

Friction holds the ends on the tracks and once on the model touch the end caps with glue such as liquid poly from Humbrol. You may geta loose one or two but once on the model and set problem solved.

I used them, they are really good and stay together nicely. If you use an enamel wash,or Mig Pigments with the thinner for washes,it does cause to become a little bit brittle, and then care must be used in handling them.

Get some Microscale Liqui-tape and put a small dab on the end pins and let dry. It stays tacky, the connectors will stay put and the track remains moveable to an extent. I use it for all my AFV Club tracks.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have a lot more confidence knowing there's a way to keep those little bits from disappearing.
