Hi everyone,
Here is the work-in-progress diorama for my Jagdpanther which I posted a while ago on the Axis Armor Forum seen here:http://armorama.com/forums/162494#1364399
The dio is made of styrofoam which has been covered over with a groundwork mixture of celluclay, craft paints, and sand. The groundwork was finished using oil washes and drybrushing. The grasses consist of tall grass and static grass which will be sprayed over with my AB once completed. once everything is actually glued down I'll probably put down some pigments too. The figures consist of dragon and Alpine with one of them having a Hornet head.
Comments and Critiques are more than welcome
Evan

Yo Evan,
Nice groundwork and setting....maybe to clean for me. There is not enough varity in the grass, ground, color. Use more earth colors, less grass...not in a way like a need footballfield...less is more and will give more detail to your base and groundwork. Also behind the tank you can use a bit of "high"....a telephoon pole, tree....?
looking forward to the next update...nice work so far!
Greetz Nico

jagdpanthers are such interesting machines, really like seeing them in dioramas. good start on the base and the face paints appear very well done. maybe some shorter grass around the patches so they don't end so abruptly and some rocks in the "lawn" areas to add variety. my only other question is if the crew is standing in front wouldn't a hatch or two be open on the tank rather than all buttoned up?
PS: don't forget to paint the vision ports lens black. the last photo closeup shows brown camo paint on the driver's port glass. and the headlight on the fender is missing but there is no damage to the fender itself? maybe add the electrical wire that runs externally so people know it was pulled off and not just omitted.
cheers, bd.

Hi guys,
I understand its been quite a while since anything has been with this post but just so everyone knows progress is very slowly being made. Thank you for the responses too. Hopefully the static grass wont be very noticeable by the time this diorama is finished as I was going for overgrown fields. Thanks Nico for the idea of a light pole, I've never done one before but I think I can find something about how to make them online. Thank you Bruce D for the comments about the Jagdpanther. As this is one of my first dios with a large piece of armor I completely glanced over the idea of open hatches in regards to the figures .
Maybe in the next week I will work more and post some new pictures
