hi while i was at a recent 3 day model show i was lucky enough to speak to a D Day DUKW driver who laned on sword Beach with Lord Lovat , it was 7-30 in the morning , he is going to send me details of his training and the D Day trips to shore he made , i will post info as soon as i recieve it cheers ian

Great news Ian!!! Cannot wait to see the details. On top of that, my quest for the markings of British and French DUKWs it seems to produce the first results... As soon as I'll have news I'll post them here too (if you don't mind).

Ian, coincidentally while I was in England in July, I went to a mil.vehicle rally and got talking to a guy who restores and sells DUKWs, when I e-mail him, I'll pass on anything useful he sends me. This guy is a a real fount of knowledge about the DUKW as you can imagine...Jim

I rode the pink Dukws in Branscome (SPELLING) Missouri, does that count? #:-) Seriously, I would love to see pictures of combat version DuKW's before I start my build
