Hello Chris,
the Marder 1A5 upgrade was initiated in the 1990, when it was found out the most Bundeswehr vehicles had an insufficient mine protection. The first Marder 1A5 where used with GECON KFOR in Kosovo in the early 2000`s.
I yesterday saw a TV report with the first images of a Marder 1A5 in Afganistan
equipped with Baracuda MCS. It is also planned to equip then vehicles with an air conditioning system. I think we will see update sets for the Revell kit soon.
