I am trying to do a Fallujah themed diorama and I am struggling with the actually colors of the Marine MARPART desert camo. I am trying to find the base colar..like a deck tan and the slightly darker shade that seems to be the key to the color scheme. I have several books, most notably "My men are My heros" that i am using as reference. Even from a distance the two shades are visible..not so much the digital but the lighter and darker shades and the occasional brown splotches. Anyone have any ideas????? thanks. kz

Kevin, firstly, you mean MARPAT as in MARine PATtern camo.
Here is an article on painting ARPAT. Once you've identified your colours, I would think that you could go about in the same way to obtain MARPAT.

This may also help. Desert MARPAT colours

Yes, I am sorry for messing that one up. I have tried to recreate the color scheme in those links you listed but am having a difficult time with the second color..the slightly darker color than the deck tan but thanks for the input. Those links are so helpful.
