Hi all. I found a few pics of this rusty T-55 with dozer blade and crane. Need help with the correct T-55 XX of this type of tank.
First question....does any one have drawings / schematics and other better pics of this tank. My search on the web didn't help much.
Next question....does anyone make a conversion of this tank ?!?
I would like to build this rusty hulk, and maybe do it as a resin set.
Any help would be great.
Rob

Well
If the engine deck hatches at the right of the beast are its own ....it's a probably russian T-55.But it's hard to say....
Looks like this...
that is a T-55 based prime mover but I haven't nomenclature.
Probably it's a variant of VT-55
Zac Sex did a work to depict this beast(if not the same beast).Links over ML don't work...so you need to get AFV modeller article or the entire Mag.
I need to get some infos but maybe you can found something over WWP T-55 special and recovery vehicles n°17(I think)

Here you are another interesting site.
http://army.lv/ru/imr-2m/742/482#info
The Zachary Sex work has been published also on an italian modeller magazine:
I have that magazine but unfortunatly i don't have a scanner
I can't promise you, but perhaps i can try to give you this reference

Thanks for all the info and links Mauro, it's a big help.
I am sure when I start this project there will be a conversion set released
The weathering on those abandoned vehicles is what caught my eye, and would love to paint one. There is also another tank I want to build and will post that up later.
Back to the work bench and try to get my T-69 ready for painting. Will post the final interior build pics tonight.

Mauro, That's perfect, thank you.
If I can get my hands on good drawings of most of the components then this would make a good conversion kit

Holy Mauro, those pics are fantastic. That is the most I have ever had of one vehicle. I would be a fool not to build it. I will study the images and all the details and decide if I want to do it to be cast in resin.
I can't thank you enough for the help you have given me. I had searched through google with and with out the nomenclature but didn't come up with what you found. This has made my day

Well Rob, i'm very very glad I could help you.
I like a lot sharing references and I appreciate who do it.
During the time I found a list of eastern site which are in my humble opinion a sort of "modeller's glod mine". This is a short list of them:
