ok guys i came up with this crazy idea
iam building a 1/72 scale dornier
and i going to hand brush the whole plane.
so far i did the bottom and i used the paint right from the jar it cam out nice.
but its still a little thick,.
so how much thiner should i use,
and when i start airbrushing again
how much thinner should i use for the air air brush.
cause when i use to build a few years ago
i used froquil i just painted it right from the bottle no mixing or any thing
so plz help me thanks

When you read the "gurus" writings they say that the right consistency for airbrushing paint shoud be as dense as milk (quite to reach without a densimeter). In my experience I use to thin it from 50 to 80% thinner to paint. For hand application, always in my wiew is to dilute it in a way that every stroke covers well without leaving marks on the model...

Hi tazz
I agree with Scoccia as regards mixing for airbrushing.
Handbrushing is an art... (not one I've really mastered ), but I think you could add about 30% thinners, depending on the consistency of the paint. Remember, a few thin coats is preferable to one thick coat... :-) (let the paint dry well between coats)
Hope this helps
