Hi its been a while since i have posted or built anything (about a year i think) but i have just finished the last kit i worked on which was the miniart T-80 i added the eduard set for the grills and fenders mainly, the kit builds well but can be a bit fiddly and the small pieces break easily but all in all i liked it.
I used tamiya nato green for the basecoat then lightened it with yellow for some highlights then weathered it with oils and pigments nothing was logged i just wanted to paint and get back in the groove and have fun which i did .
thanks for looking.
Ron.

Ron, Is it possible to get you to do a blog showing your current techs? I have many of your older "blogs" that I refer to when weathering in particular, but wanted to see what you may be doing new now. The T-80 as an example, it is very nicely done without being overdone.

Absolutely fabulous work!
I second Jacques, that weathering looks very nice indeed. I also like how you pulled off the slight variations on that overall green paint scheme without looking patchy or overdone.

Really good. Very authentic looking, and as said, not overdone

Hi Ron,
Excellent work! I love the weathering. I would be very happy to hear how you applied the pigments (detailed description would be great...).

Excellent, the T801 looks very realistic, and the weathering is subtle !
I alsways liked the shape of the T80. Does the construction went easy ?
Best,
Julien

Thanks for the great comments guys i do appreciate it i would be happy to do an updated weathering blog currently i am blogging the Tristar flak panzer 1 a in the armour forum and will be logging the steps of that as for this one nothing was logged but a lot of the processes were the same as before but i am trying a couple of new things with pigments and oils so somethings may be picked up from the other blog, the next green build i do i will happily do a write up.
Julien the kit goes together well with good fit but some of the smaller parts tend to break easily and the running gear and tracks can be quite fiddly but nothing too difficult.

Hey Ron
I've seen this elsewhere and love how it turned out. What I really like the most is the realistic weathering on the lower half. The dirt and dust looks like the real deal.
