Hi
Being a modern stuff builder, I have nearly inexistant knowledge about WWII armor. So here goes my question:
I have Dragon's IDF M-50 kit, but I prefer to build some US or brit tank during last stages of the war. Is it possible to do this? What conversions/replacements should be involved?
Thanx for your help!

I believe you're stuck with an IDF tank, as the M50 had a revised turret to accept the larger (French?) gun.

There are tons of WWII US and British Shermans out there. You can surely find one. Possibly put your M50 kit up for trade in the classifieds section here on Armorama.

The M50 has a postwar Cummins diesel engine and a turret that was cut apart and modified with new, larger castings in front and rear by the French when they added the new gun. Trying to backdate the M50 would be difficult and pointless, as the versions you want are available right off the shelf, and would cost less than the relevant resin conversion parts. If money is a consideration, just do a trade with someone online (or in person).
Dragon's M4A3(76) "Premium Edition" kit is a good late war US example, and Dragon's new Sherman IC Firefly "Smart Kit" is an excellent representation of a late war British or Canadian version.
If money is no object, Tasca's Shermans are slightly better in overall engineering, though Dragon's tracks are superior.

I'll go for Dragon's Firefly or perhaps Cyberhobby's Beute Sherman
