I was planning to use that brand of paint for creating rusted surfaces, as they have a simulated rust surface color. Has anyone tried using it yet on their models, and how did it go? Thanks.

GREAT product...
Basically the first application is a "slurry" of fine metal shavings, second application actualy oxidizes to real rust....

Apparently, it's a similar product to "Rustall," sold in model railroad shops, but judging from the photos, the metal particles are much coarser. Rustall produces a much smoother rust finish, more appropriate to a scale vehicle.

Yes, that is the name of the product, and Michaels is a chain of art and craft stores.
