just popped into my local model shop today and got me a great deal 2nd hand dragon wagon and trailer mint in the box for £67 it was a close call between the dragon leopold
and the faun transporter from trumpeter but these kits will be about for the same money for a while yet and theres always christmas and my birthday too still to come
I was really impressed by the trumpeter offerings on the tranporters and ballistic missile
transporter so I guess they will be joining my collection soon too :-) I think the way that trumpetes going that they will soon surpass most of the other brands in quility and types of kits that they release
so whats the best bargin you picked up at the local shop?

The best buy i have had so far would be an BergePanther and 8ton half track for £20. This was from LSA, well pleased, even if the BergePanther needs a lot of work

Dragon's BTR-70 for $15 at a Welcon show earlier this year. All the parts still in the shrink wrap and unbroken. Then there would be Tamiya's M3 Bradley for $7 plus a Verlinden cam net and Tamiya's jerry can set, all in the same box!

I've been doing pretty good on ebay. Can pick up up a good M-60 class tank for $10-12
a US dealer, not Hong Kong. I'm seeing Leopolds going for $80 or so also US dealers

The best bargain i have had is from a new zealand secound hand trading site where i bought an airbrush compressor for little over 60 new zealand dollars close to 20 pounds later that week i bought an air pressure regulator and a hose adaptor for my badger airbrush which just happened to cost more than the compressor itself. And it runs as good as new!!!

Not at a model shop but on Ebay a couple of months ago. An Academy M3 "Honey", unopened, for £5.50 (about US$8.70). Postage bumped up the total cost , but still cheaper than list price

My best buy ever was a Japanese type 90 MBT for 6 euro. I bought it in a clearance corner of a hobby shop. I still regret I didn't bought 2 of them (or maybe 3 ). This would have give a nice collection of the same tank, but in different units or colours.
