how come i keep seeing all these different ranks like navy rank , field artilley comission, how do u get these ranks and how long does it take to get a higher rank

I asked this same question in an earlier post. Jim used to allow members who had reached "officer" status to have custom ranks. He stopped because it took up too much overhead in the database. Those that have them, can keep them.

Click on the Forum Help/Rank Info link at the bottom of the page. It explains the rank thing. I think your question is exactly the same as the first question I ever asked here.
