I just received my Revell of Germany 1/35 Panzerhaubitze Pzh-2000 and it's definitely as good as I expected. I also have an expanded modeling budget, so I'm getting materials for a Kosovo diorama featuring the SPG and Dragon's UH-1H Heer in 1/35. The baseplate will be a combo of Verlinden's "Hide Out" and a brick road section, so I'll have space for both.

If I remember these kits correctly, this is going to be a smart combination. Where did you purchase your Pzh-2000 from?

Complete change in most stuff! Instead of the Huey I'm putting in Academy's MH-60G, and both the bases are going to be MiniArt, as those were the only ones big enough for the huge Pave Hawk.

If you'd like to upgrade the tracks, Bronco now offers a set of workable styrene tracks to replace the vinyl ones in the kit. Eduard also offers a photoetch set for it.

That sounds like a huge diorama. I have built both models and they are huge by themselves. Also, I don't see the connection and story as to why a German howitzer and a USAF Pavehawk would be next to eachother in Kosovo. It might be better to do each as a separate dio.
If you need help on the Pavehawk let me know. Like I said, I have built 1 and 3 other of the Academy Blackhawk/Pavehawk kits so far. They are a great starting point. I recommend getting the Cobra Company upgrade and detailing sets for them though. The CC sets are great and add lots of needed detail.
Cobra Company
Here are my builds for inspiration.
USAF HH-60G
USCG MH-60J
US Army MH-60L DAP and US Army UH-60L
I have more general info on MH/HH-60Gs if you need it. Let me know if you need any help on it.
Also, once you get started, be sure to post it in the Rotary Wing Forum over at Aeroscale, Armorama's sister site dedicated to aircraft.
Good luck.

Bad news: An airbrush part has been lost, so all construction right now is halted, because it's at the point where I can't advance until i get the part, which I just ordered. Build updates will start in a week or two with pictures.

I've decided not to do this diorama, so I've split it up into different posts.
