Vlady,
I hope to be able to start soon with my L6. Just a question for the progress postings what do we do? I mean: do you know if the campaign will be set-up in the "Campaigns" section of the site? If so I'll wait to have it set up before posting otherwise will we initiate our own threads in which forum (campaigns, armour, etc.)?
Ciao

Vlady - you're no bother!
The Campaign Committee has been considering this idea amongst others. We hadn't come to the decision to make it an official Campaign - but - you can certainly proceed forward with a Group Build!
Today is 9/15 and everyone interested can get going if you're still inclined to go ahead with a Group Build.

I'm up for a group build. I have the ancient Tamiya Lee kit ready to go. Don't know about campaign, though. I may be tied up with the T2K deal. Maybe I am not sure exactly what the differences are between a campaign and a group build? I do know that in a campaign the participants get a ribbon and the moderators and admins must to set up a bunch of folders. Other than that, what is the difference? I am only asking because I have never really been clear on the difference. Help?
Thanks, as always,
Shaun

That's it - you've basically got the differences in a nutshell. The Campaign involves Ribbons and Campaign Folder creation and stuff behind the scenes on site.
The Group Build is a free-for-all. The participants post their entries and progress in threads on site instead - like normal postings. If it really gets involved, a Moderator can make a Forum Folder to contain these threads to make it easier for all to keep up with each other. The Group Build is easier to launch - it's Vlady's call here. All he has to do is say GO and perhaps set a thread for you guys to post in.

Heck, if that what the difference is I don't need a ribbon. I promise I will post updates in the forums at least as often as most people post updates in their campaign folders...

Hi there
I'm with Keenan here :-) No problem with a Group Build as far as I'm concerned. I reckon everyone would have just as much fun. :-)
All the best

k....... well i have no problem with making it a group build BUT a group build isn't in armor or planes and so one. just my question. so u are the ones who are gonna make the fun of this campaing and it is your choise if u want an award or no. for me it's k to be a group build because as rowan said he will have to have fun. sorry for not answering till now but i've been to school all day. Well, start building and i think we can decide later the campaing-group thing

Sure! You can setup your Group Build as broad as you'd like it to be.

i beleive i will be submitting a Kubelwaggen and an SAS jeep for this campaign... not sure if they will be stand alone or in a diorama..... will let you know as soon as i know lol
Phantom Major - the same idea goes for the Helicopter idea. I'm not approving anymore Campaigns for 2003 - but that's no reason to prevent a Helicopter Group Build from taking off. You as a leader can call it a GO when you think reasonable and the participants are best able to build a model for the activity.
This will be your call as to make it a Group Build and declare a launch. I'll just be a Cheerleader and yell it out from the electronic rooftops. Heck, I've got eight 1:35th scale helicopters sitting here waiting for a reason to build anyway...
