Ok here's my second ever armor model. The model is a Tamiya Panther Ausf. A. and I used acrylic paints mostly. I will be adding this to a dio. soon and will post them when finished.
I have to say that comming to this web site really has me hooked on armor. I thank you guys for getting hooked. (my wife just wants her dinning room table back).

To be only the second attempt it'sreally a great looking one. I cannot comment any further because my knowledge of German WWII armour is only marginal so I don't know anithing about camo patterns, details and so on...
Keep on going like this!

Fantastic model! I'm doing the exact same model, and I hope it turns out as good as yours. Oh, by the by, this is my second armor model also, if you include the Hanomag.

Nice job on a old kit!
My only suggestion is to drill out the two openings on the mantlet and maybe add a MG barrel to the one.
very nice!

Truely Excellent :-) :-) :-)
For your second model, I like the camo pattern on the figure.
How did you apply the spots? brush/airbrush
I look forward to seeing your 3rd,4th,5th,6th etc etc.model

This is what the use of the ancient Tamiya Panzers are for.To hone your skills to a good level, and make you have no fear of buying a Dragon or later Tamiya kit.
Good job! (++) (++)

Beautiful Job Doug!
The tank paint is excellent and the figure is great as well. Can't wait to see the dio for this baby!
Cheers

That is really good! I am sending you my Panther, and you can build it and paint it for me! I am really amazed, being it is only your second! A born modler!

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
sweatydogz..the whole tank was painted with air brush except some of the weathering.
I also am just learning to use the airbrush. I practiced on card stock first before I attempted the tank. pretty easy to get the hang of now I just need to master it. Looking forward to my next AFV. Not sure what will be next. Love the german WWII armor but maybe something more modern.
Again thanks everyone for the nice comments.

Nice job! I would suggest that you buy your wife another table though, the one you're on will probably not be available for awhile. I just had to take over my son's room when he left. There are just too many wonderful armor kits to be built for much down time.
