Hi

For the Airbrush you could do a lot worse than the Iwata Revolution range and I use both the CR and BR models and for the compressor have a look on eBay for one of the double pump with pressure tank versions.

You don't need to spend a fortune to get something that will serve you well for years and arbrush and compressor will be under your $200 budget.

I second the recommendation about the Iwata Revolution CR; it's well balanced, easy to clean, and will give years of use with proper care. I have several compressors that I have gotten as upgrades; my workhorse is a TC-20 from Airbrush Depot; it's relatively small and quiet, unlike the capable (but much noisier) compressor that was its predecessor.

These are the two compressors I use and can recomend to you

The single pump version is quieter but the double pump version supplies much more air so it doesnt run as much as the single pump version and as a result it dosent get as warm as the single version.

Both are good for airbrushing and both are quiet enough for indoor use.

I agree, the Iwata Revolution CR is probably the best $75 you'll spend on this hobby. Great first airbrush.
For a compressor, if you don't mind the noise while the tank fills, you can get a 3 gallon tank compressor at Harbor Freight for $40 with a coupon. It's about as loud as a vacuum cleaner for the short times it runs.

thank you for your input sirs! my wife found me a tc compressor with 3 ab, 2 dual actons, one single action with gravity and cup feed for about 130 bucks. i will stash this for future recommendation and will definitely be looking at your recommendations when i can upgrade.

thanks again
