With your help I'm getting a clearer picture of the possible M2A2 interior configurations, primarily the bench seat vs. individual seats. I realize that some M2A2s still have the old individual seat config., but am unsure what other chnages did occur with the M2A2 upgrade. Things like the Spall Liner, ammo stowage, etc.
My confusion is centered on the differences btw. the old Tamiya M2 kit interior and the actual "Individual Seat" M2A2 interior .
Questions...
On the old Tamiya kit, starting at the right rear, there are 3 TOW missiles stowed on the rignt side in a horizontal configuration and 2 TOWs stowed in a vertical configuration. Moving forward is a set of 7 ammo boxes (25mm I think). These ammo boxes span the area from just behind the turret area to ahead of it.
On the left, starting at the rear...a set of 4 Ammo boxes (again 25mm I think-the same type as the right side) with what appears to be a set of 7.62mm boxes behind the bigger boxes, then the fire extinguisher bottles and the edge of the turret housing.
OK...from the pics (mostly Rob's Motorpool) and what I have read, I think the ammo stowage has been eliminated from the interior? Would it be correct to assume that the Ammo (left and right side) boxes in the Tamiya kit would be gone?
What about the TOW rounds stowed along the right side?? Are they still there? (my guess is yes).
If I am correct (??) and the Ammo boxes as depicted in the Tamiya M2 interior are gone, is there anything in their place?? It appears that there are MANY straps, but basically it is a ledge where the ammo used to be. The ledge seems to have a series of "boxes" along the right side approximately where the turret housing is.
Rob, is there a chance of new pics showing the Right Rear Inner Hull wall area (where the TOWs where/are) as well as the area just ahead of that, but from a right angle from the hull?
Any help would be appreciated to sort this out...my resources are just not clear on the differences between the versions in a VISUAL sense.
Thanks in advance!

Thought I took photos of the interior from every conceiveable angle. If I have time I'll try to take some.
Those straps are put there to hold down ammo cans.

Thanks Rob! More pics would be great! It is the hull wall areas (l&r) just inside the rear hatch where some of my confusion lies!
Since your photos are of a M2A2 in "the shop" it would make sense that there would be no ammo. That said, is the ammo stowage on the M2A2, with the anti-spall liner, the same as depicted on the old Tamiya M2 kit? 25mm along the outer area of the troop compartment, some 7.62mm along the rt side and the TOWs along the left side?
Also, is the anti-spall liner fit flush to the hull??
Thanks!
