Hello,
I have looking online for Blacken-it and some Friulmodel tracks for some kits that I have at home that i will start when I return from deployment (no better time to stockpile stuff for my return). The questions I have are:
Which Friulmodel tracks do I get for a late model Hummel and which ones for a Panzer IV Ausf G?
Blacken-it. I have seen two different types, one solution looks to be blue, but the other appears black? Is there a difference or is it just a newer formula?
Also, I am having trouble finding online merchants that have Blacken-it in stock, does anyone know a good supplier?
Thanks again!

Hey Art,
Both of these guys sell Blacken-It:
http://www.micromark.com/BLACKEN-IT-4-FL-OZ,7267.html
http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/158-2
I don't know what the difference is between the two colors, but both products are from the same company. It's a material common to model rail roading, so you can find it sold by other on line sources that cater to model train stuff.
Good luck and stay safe.
Mike

The same ones for both.
Sorry, otherwise I don't use Fruil tracks very often except for special cases. I find Magic Tracks and MKs are good enough.

Thanks for the replies and the links, time to order up some Blacken-It! As far as the Friulmodel tracks, I am wondering what set # would be appropriate for a late Hummel and a Panzer IV Ausf G. I noticed that Friul has several different sets. I figure since I am spending the extra money for the tracks, I might as well be historically accurate with them and get the right set. Thanks!

I'm building the DML PZ IV kharkov (kit 6363 i think) and i'm using Friul's ATL4 set for the PZ IV. The tracks have the hollow horn. And if I'm not mistaken, there's a photo of a Hummel on the box!

Another question about the Friuls, do they work with the kits stock drive sprockets, or will I need to order Friuls? Thanks!
