I am getting a Blast update for a LAV-A2. I was wondering if all LAV's are the same (I know that the specialty ones are different). Are the ASLAV's or LAV 3's, LAV-25 SLEP are they are the same or are there major differences.
Thanks
Mike

The Canadian Coyote, Bison, American LAV 25, the Mortar variant, the LAV R, and the ASLAV among others all use basically the same chassis. Some are amphibious, have rear ramps or double doors bt generally are the same.
The US Stryker, MEV, Canadian LAVIII and LAV TUA use a different chassis.
cheers

This is correct. The first group should all be derived from the MOWAG Piranha and Piranha II family of vehicles (the latter aka LAV II).
The second category are derived from the MOWAG Piranha III (aka LAV III). The Stryker is a derivative specifically of the IIIH variant.
I believe that all members of the Piranha family were available in 4x4, 6x6, and 8x8 configurations. There was a 10x10 variant also offered for a time.
