Chris,
ACU's colors vary wildly by timeframe, and uniform type not to mention condition of the uniform. I have some from Afghanistan that are mostly brown from all the use, I have new garrison ACU's that are grey. Flame resistant uniforms, FRACU's are more tan than standard ACU's which are more gray. The new aircrew unforms we got were also more of a grey than tan. Essentially, find a picture and go with it, no one can really say you're wrong with ACU's.

The trick with ACUs is picking two of approximately matching shades when you get up in the morning. Some general colors would be a grey-tan, a grey-green, and sort of a medium green.

No kidding. Some are reserved for garrison use, others for field. Unfortunately I was a few months too late and missed the Multi Cam fielding, but you should see that stuff, it fades quick!
