Hello guys,

I am new here but have been reading along for a while now. Must say I am very impressed not just by the mad skill here but especially with ya'lls knowledge! So I am here today to tap into that. I haven't build in quite a while and have decided to come back from a different direction this time focusing on scratching. Back in the day I have scratch a bit, but know my hands are itching to get serious. As my first project I have decided on the GSP-55 ferry. I have done my research and found a lot of pictures but have one major problem: I hav no view form the top onto the unfolded ferry. If someone has a shot of that I would much much appreciate if it could be posted.

Let me add a couple of pics to detail one of my key questions:

As you can see I have marked the two openings on the upper hull of the ferry. I have no idea what is below those openings but the manual shots that I added might provide a clue to our russian speakers. Does anyone know what is under/can be seen through these openings? Pics would be great, but as I couldn't find any I would appreciate a description as well!

Many thanks for ya'lls help!

Thank you very much guys, I knew somebody could help me ! Yes indeed I saw the Spanish forum posts, but I wasn't sure if the modeler there had gotten all necessary references. So thanks guys, your help is much appreciated!

Thanks for many new and interesting pics! From Roy's source I have the following pics:

So I guess - in conunction with Roy's explanation on the manual pages - that the engine simply sits below "hole 1" and is only partially covered. I think I am in good shape for that, so now it would be interesting what the cooling part below "hole 2" looks like. It is irony that there is such a great pic of "hole 1" which would be covered if showing a pair of loaded ferries and none of the always visible cooling But we will see.

Btw here a pic of the loaded ferry:

Again many, many thanks for the replies, all names will be carved into the hull of the yet to be build ferry
