Haven't posted in a long time, been busy with things. Today I am sharing pics of a dusty Tamiya Leopard 2A6 I have just completed. Please let me know how you think it turned out.
A little silvering on the decals, maybe some decal setting will sort that out.
Really like the weathering on the skirts, well done.
cheers
One of the serious problems in planning against Canadian doctrine is that the Canadians do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine.

Thanks a lot. Nothing fancy really as far as painting process was concerned, just applied the camo by freehand airbrushing. I wanted to create the dusty and not rusty appearance as would be applicable to modern armor. This effect was achieved by applying several Yellow and Ocher oil filters to lighten up the colors. The whole model was then streaked with MIG African and European Earth pigments diluted with mineral spirit. After letting it dry I used Q-tip to smudge the streaks further to remove the hard boundaries. The result is on the pictures

Weathering looks quite interesting, maybe a little too much rust on the spare track. But there is one thing you definitly have to change, the colour of the commanders PERI sight is always Black ! And you still need to cover the rear turret baskets with some mesh. .... well almost complete
